Success at the Annual KHCC Gala! 11/14/16

My donation to the Kingsbridge Heights Community Center Gala, "come this far," sold for more than I could imagine! So very pleased that I could contribute to this amazing community non-profit!

KHCC provides quality educational and social services that build on the strengths of our diverse Bronx community to help people of all ages thrive, including abuse survivors and those with developmental disabilities.

So honored to be involved and to give to such a great cause.

 About GML

Grace Morris Lumpkin is an NYC based abstract painter, married and living in the UES. The child of writers, and a transplant from the Deep South; her passion is to explore shape and color as a universal language. Ms. Lumpkin’s reasons for painting are uncomplicated; the agenda, straightforward emotional catharsis. She paints without brushes, simply using her fingertips, wrists, elbows and an occasional forearm – she connects with her materials physically, the essential technique to her process. Ms. Lumpkin uses come this far, to reconcile gratitude, with an apex of light and action. She says this of the painting “It’s said that Life is short, but broad. Humans struggle through challenges by virtue of pure luck, faith, raw effort, guts, and sweat. Taking a step back, realizing that we are growing every day, beyond yesterday, allows us to find peace in the process.” You can find other work by Grace Morris Lumpkin on her website, http://www.gracelumpkin.com/
