Artist Statement
I paint typically in part-to-whole series. I do not use man-made implements, merely my hands and body, breath and gravity. This helps me connect to my materials and my work. My work is instinct driven, I pull inspiration from color; an attraction to the shape or breadth of a canvas. Through shapes, color and textures I am able to speak more fluently than with words.
Essentially, I paint as an on-going conversation with the Universe, to reconcile pain, joy, relief, and frustration. I paint to Free myself.
